ATHENS, Greece, June 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TOP Tankers Inc (Nasdaq: TOPT), announced today the results of its annual shareholders meeting that was held on June 29, 2006.

A quorum of shareholders was present in person or by proxy. All proposals submitted to the shareholders were approved. At the meeting, shareholders approved the reelection of two director nominees, and approved the appointment of Ernst & Young (Hellas) as the Company's independent auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2006.
